Your blanket statement is just your opinion and certainly not true for everyone, including me.Ībsolutely none of my images need any Adobe products for anything. I don't know what you meant that is why I said it depends on what you mean by 'everything' I guess it depends on what you mean by everything. You can't beat the workflow of doing everything in DxO PhotoLab. It's quick and easy to use, and with processing happening in the background, processing speed ceases to be an issue at all. With a very few, really noisy files, optimum results are obtained by first using DeepPRIME, followed by DeNoise AI Clear. I also have Gigapixel AI.ĭeepPRIME definitely does a much better job than DeNoise AI with raw files, but DeNoise does have the advantage of working on JPEGs and TIFFs. DxO makes DeNoise largely redundant, but not Sharpen AI. I don't think so, and I've long owned both. When one compares both Sharpen and Denoising tools against PR2, the results are rather close. They buy it mainly for the DeepPRIME NR, and secondly for the superior lens correction, not for the sharpening.Ĭomparing the Topaz tools to it is a natural thing to do. People buy PR2 for BOTH the denoising and the sharpening, otherwise, WHY would they buy it? Prior to this release, I did not think the IQ of PR matched the combined quality of the Topaz tools overall and that overrode the processing speed. It wasn't image quality that swayed me, it was the processing speed, and the superior way it integrates with ACDSee. When one compares both Sharpen and Denoising tools against PR2, the results are rather close.įor me, I've decided to stop my service contract on the Topaz tools and use the money to purchase PR2 with the savings. People buy PR2 for BOTH the denoising and the sharpening, otherwise, WHY would they buy it? Comparing the Topaz tools to it is a natural thing to do. On the whole, Sharpen AI does things not possible in the DxO tools, so they complement each other well If you want to compare PR to the Topaz tools, DeNoise AI is the nearest equivalent. The same image may well benefit from both. That's quite different to the sharpening that Sharpen AI does (eg, to compensate for camera shake or slight misfocusing).

The sharpening that it does is part of the normal DxO global lens correction. PureRAW and Sharpen AI do completely different jobs, so how can you compare them?Īre you denying that PR2 actually sharpens an image? No, it's still quite slow compared to PureRaw, though IQ is comparable. Fixed external editor not displaying a warning when opening invalid file types, such as PSD filesįorgetting all the interface and bug fixes, the ultimate question is does it do a better or faster job then the prior versions?.

Fixed issues with comparison view frames potentially not having a model selected.Fixed scrolling to change masking parameters not working.Fixed issue causing plugin mode to sometimes ask about installing plugin files on startup.
